Some people think that when they are trying to be healthy, the only beverage they can enjoy is water. Fortunately for you, this is not the case! There are tons of low calorie drinks (including some with alcohol) that you can enjoy in addition to water. These healthy beverages can help keep you hydrated and will also give you alternatives to drinking unhealthy beverages like soda. If you end up drinking more low-calorie beverages, then you very well may snack less and actually lose more weight. Some of the most popular drinks include:

1. Wine Spritzer:

If you love wine but want to cut calories when you’re drinking it, then add a few ounces of club soda for every glass that you have. This allows you to naturally flavor plain water so that it’s sweet without being unhealthy. There are also water bottles that have this feature if you want something smaller to take on-the-go.

You can make these low calorie drinks with 1 scoop of your choice protein, 1/2 cup frozen mangoes or strawberries and water. Blend this all together and you’ll have a creamy and filling drink that is a great choice for a meal replacement. If you want it to be even healthier, then add in some frozen spinach.

6. Watermelon Smoothie:

You can make this with 1 cup of water, 7 ice cubes, 4 cups chopped seedless watermelon and 2 tablespoons of sugar substitute. Blend it all together and you have a refreshing drink that is under 60 calories per serving. It’s perfect for summer barbecues or just to enjoy on a hot day.

7. Cranberry and Vodka:

If you are going out and want a vodka drink, then you can easily have one that is low in calories. Just add in a splash of cranberry juice with your favorite vodka, along with club soda.

8. Tea:

There are tons of different flavors of teas that you can choose from, just make sure you don’t drink any that have added sugars. You can enjoy them iced or hot. The choice is up to you. There are also k-cup teas that you can use that are really perfect for anyone who leads a busy lifestyle.

9. Orange Smoothie:

Make a low calorie orange smoothie by blending together: 1 1/4 cups orange juice (no sugar added), 1/2 cup almond milk, 2 tbsp sugar substitute, 1 tsp vanilla and ice. It tastes so good that you won’t even realize that it’s not packed full of calories.

10. Soda Alternative:

If you miss soda but don’t want to drink it, then mix up some Crystal Light in a large pitcher and keep it in your fridge. Once this is done, mix it with some club soda before you serve it. Add in some fresh fruit to add a little bit of flavoring and you’ll be ready to enjoy.
